Terms of Use

SWGOH Teams is a fan-made planning aid for Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes, run by one person and free to use. Nothing is sold and nothing is charged for; an account is optional and free. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to EA, Capital Games, Disney, or Lucasfilm.

It was built with the help of an AI assistant. Much of the code, and some of the writing, was drafted that way and reviewed by a person before going live. That is worth saying plainly rather than leaving you to guess, and it is one more reason to read the next section as meant literally rather than as boilerplate.

What that does not mean: there is no AI feature on this site, nothing you type or look up is sent to an AI service, and no such service has any part in serving a page or handling your data. The help was in writing the site, not in running it. See the privacy policy for what does touch your data.

Using the site means accepting what is on this page. If you do not accept it, the remedy is simple and complete: stop using the site.

Roster data comes from swgoh.gg and is only as current and as correct as what they return. The reference tables — gear and relic costs, era dates, Conquest and Proving Grounds schedules, team compositions — are maintained by hand and will sometimes be wrong, incomplete, or overtaken by a game update. The calculators produce estimates, not guarantees.

The site is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, express or implied — including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement — to the fullest extent the law allows. No promise is made that it will be accurate, complete, current, uninterrupted, or available at all.

To the fullest extent the law allows, the operator of this site is not liable for any loss arising from using it or relying on it. That includes in-game losses of every kind: resources, currency, gear, relic materials, tokens, shards, time, roster decisions, or a result in an event that did not go the way a page here suggested it might.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, and nothing here tries to exclude what cannot lawfully be excluded — including liability for fraud, gross negligence, or intentional misconduct. Where a limitation is not permitted, it applies only as far as it lawfully can.

An account is optional — every calculator here works by typing an ally code straight into the page. Signing in exists so your ally code follows you between devices instead of living in one browser.

No password is ever created here. Signing in happens through Discord, or through a single-use code sent to an email address you give. Which methods are offered can change; the sign-in page is always the current list.

One account per person, you are responsible for what happens under yours, and an account used to abuse the site can be closed. You can delete yours at any time from your profile page, which removes it, the ally code saved to it, and anything you have published immediately.

Teams you build are private by default. A team becomes public only when you turn on its Share switch, and only then. Once shared, the team's name, its units and targets, and the display name on your profile are visible to anyone who opens Community Teams, signed in or not. Signed-in members can like it.

An author page is a second switch, also off until you turn it on. With it on, the teams you have already shared also appear together at an address made from your display name and tag, listed on Authors, alongside a short description you write and links to wherever else you publish. Each list has its own switch for whether its name becomes a heading there, so you choose which of your own labels are fit for other people to read. It publishes no team that was not already public. Turning it off removes the page immediately, and clearing your display name removes it too, because the address is made from that name.

A display name is not exclusive. Being first to type a name does not reserve it. If the name you choose is already in use, you still get it, and a four-digit number is added after it — Name #4821 — which appears wherever your name does and forms part of your page's address. The first member to take a name carries no number at all, and nobody can type a name containing “#”, so a tagged name cannot be faked by spelling it out. The number is yours for as long as you keep that name; changing your name gets you a new one, or none.

You keep whatever rights you have in what you publish. By sharing a team you give permission to display it on this site, under your display name, for as long as it stays shared. Turning the switch off removes it from the public page straight away, as does deleting the team or the account. What other people have already seen, copied, or linked to is beyond the reach of any switch here.

You are responsible for what you publish, and that includes your display name, the names and notes you give your teams, the description and links on your author page, and the name of any list you have chosen to show as a heading on it. Nothing that impersonates another player or a real person, nothing used to harass anyone, and nothing offensive. All of it passes through the same language filter, so a refusal you did not expect is that and not a fault. A name, a team, or a page that breaks this can be removed or reset without notice, and an account used this way can be closed.

Link only to accounts you run. You give a handle and this site builds the address, so a link here can only ever point at one of a fixed handful of sites — but where it lands is yours. No affiliate or referral links, nothing that would break the rest of these terms, and nothing pretending to be someone else's channel. A link on this site is not a recommendation, an endorsement, or a check that anything on the other end is safe or accurate; what happens there is between you and whoever runs it. Links can be removed and a page taken down without notice, including because of what the other end later turns into.

Likes are one per member per team. Do not create extra accounts, or arrange others, to push a team up the list — it is the one number on the page that is worth anything, and only because nobody is doing that.

Use the site as a person browsing it. Do not scrape it, automate requests against it, or try to work around the rate limits that keep swgoh.gg's API from being overwhelmed on everyone else's behalf. Do not attempt to reach data that is not yours to reach, or use anything here to harass another player.

Ally-code lookups return the same public profile anyone can see on swgoh.gg. Do not use this site to assemble a database of other players — and that includes Authors, which is a list of members who asked to be listed on it and not a directory to collect. If you hold rights in something on this site and want it removed, use the contact form and it will be taken down.

The site can be supported through Patreon, and a pledge raises what your account may hold on My Teams — more lists, more teams in each, and at the higher tier more than one page of them. That is what it buys: it does not make your teams more visible, rank them higher, or weigh more in any decision about moderation.

Nothing you have made is ever deleted for not paying. If a tier ends, anything above the free limits becomes read-only: it stays on your page, stays fully readable, and you can still reorder it, share it, unshare it, and delete it — what you cannot do is edit it or add to it. Renewing restores it exactly. You are never asked to pay to reach your own work, and you never lose it by stopping.

Which of your pages, lists and teams stay editable is decided by your own ordering, so moving one earlier is how you choose. That also means the arrangement you have when a tier ends is the one that comes back — if you reorder things while over the limit, that new order is what you will have.

The free tier's limits will not be cut to make a paid tier more attractive. The number of lists and teams a free account holds is a floor, not a starting position: paid tiers exist to add room above it rather than to move it down. That is a commitment about those limits specifically. The site itself will keep changing in other ways, and this section will say so when it does — see Availability and changes.

Payment, billing, cancellation and refunds are handled entirely by Patreon under their terms, not here. This site never sees or stores a card, a bank detail, or a billing address. A tier is applied to the account you are signed in with, which is not automatically the one you pledged from, so tell us which account to apply it to if it is not obvious. Tiers are granted by hand at present, so allow a little time.

A tier can be withdrawn without notice from an account that breaks these terms, and doing so does not refund anything — refunds, if any, are Patreon's to make. The tiers, their prices, and the limits attached to them may change; if a limit is ever lowered, whatever you already have stays exactly where it is under the same read-only rule above.

Pages, tables, calculators, and the site itself can change or disappear at any time, with no notice and no obligation to keep anything running. Much of it depends on swgoh.gg remaining reachable, which is outside anyone's control here.

These terms can change too. The date at the top changes with them, and continuing to use the site after that is how the new version is accepted.

These terms are governed by the law of the U.S. state in which the site's operator resides, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest continues to apply.
